About Manufacturing Capital Notes

Manufacturing Capital Notes is an independently operated information site. It explains manufacturing innovation, factory automation and capital planning for plant and operations teams. It is not a fund, not an investment firm, not a government agency and not a grant programme. It does not accept applications, does not charge a fee to apply, and does not promise a subsidy or financing. It does not provide investment, financial or legal advice.

Articles are published by the editors of this site. This site is not operated by, and is not affiliated with, Walmart, the Walmart Foundation, the U.S. Conference of Mayors, or the U.S. Manufacturing Innovation Fund. It is not affiliated with any applicant or recipient of that programme, or with any government agency. Those names are used here only to state that boundary. The sourced historical note is on the archive page.

A Walmart news article dated 20 April 2017 says Walmart, the Walmart Foundation and the U.S. Conference of Mayors launched a $10 million U.S. Manufacturing Innovation Fund in 2014, and that the FY2017 funding cycle marked the completion of that $10 million commitment. This website does not run, replace or continue that programme. No original website snapshot from 2014 was recovered. Domain-history captures from 2018 and 2024 are a for-sale page and a shell page. Their wording is not reused.

Guides cover a public manufacturing programme, the questions that differ for a retrofit and a replacement, the counts and cost factors in an equipment case, contract packing compared with an in-house line, and a procurement evidence list. Price each case from the plant's own quotes, specifications and trial records. This site does not sell equipment or request quotations.
